Maggie Stenson Pehrson, Founder and Co-Producing Artistic Director, has relished being part of the Seattle theater scene for over twenty years.  As a producer, she has been instrumental in guiding Showtunes! over the past ten years, producing over 15 musicals in concert as well as numerous marketing and fund-raising events.  She is proud that Showtunes! is entering its fourth season at the Kirkland Performance Center, and has benefitted from steadily growing attendance and donations.  Her goals for the near future of the company include increased marketing for and widespread recognition of our critically acclaimed productions, as well as expanding the number of shows per production.

Maggie graduated from the University of Michigan with a bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering, and worked for Boeing Aerospace for six years before leaving to devote her efforts full-time to the performing arts.  Her years as a System Engineer at Boeing have proven invaluable to the “system-engineering” demands of an executive producer.

Maggie is a proud member of Actor’s Equity Association (AEA), Screen Actor’s Guild (SAG) and the American Federation of Radio and Television Artists (AFTRA).

On stage, Maggie has appeared in a variety of musicals, plays, and cabarets in such venues as Seattle Children’s Theatre, Crepe de Paris, Civic Light Opera, Renton Civic Theatre and Village Theatre. Her diverse roles range from Miss Adelaide in Guys & Dolls to Hecuba in The Trojan Women. Other favorites include Eleanor Roosevelt in Eleanor, Lily in The Secret Garden, Christine Marlow in Room Service, and various women in the Martin Charnin/Rich Gray revue Love Is Love

Maggie’s voice-over and commercial clients include Boeing, KING-5 TV, and Microsoft, and her TV appearances include Unsolved Mysteries, Northern Exposure, Citizen Baines, and Ultimate Kitchens.

As a singer, Maggie has recorded and produced two CD's with the group Modern Angels, which includes Frances Leah King and Vickielee Wohlbach.  The first CD, Shining Heart, is a compilation of old and new holiday songs.  The second, Ask For More, is an eclectic collection of originals and covers from showtunes to rock to folk.  Both recordings are available through Maggie's production company, Shining Heart Productions.

Maggie lives with her husband Clint and their two boys Joshua and Gabriel on Queen Anne. When not performing, she gardens, cooks, and enjoys looking for friends on TV.  And while not a practicing rocket scientist anymore, she would love to play one on TV…
