Marie-Claire Behar

Marie-Claire became an instant Showtunes! groupie while watching the 2005-2006 season performance of "On the 20th Century". More than a year later she is still struggling to refasten her lower jaw to the upper and has been spotted walking around the streets of Seattle repeatedly uttering, "Showtunes! is the best kept theatre secret in all of Seattle."

Marie-Claire's theatre experience is surprisingly non-existent, that is unless you count the numerous hours and she has spent driving her musical theatre loving and talented daughter to rehearsals and count the enthusiastic applause and admiration she has always lent to many well-staged performances. Don't call her a stage mom though. She is very sensitive about that label.

Marie-Claire holds a BS in Hotel Administration from the University of New Hampshire and an MBA from Northeastern University. She has worked in Boston as a consultant for The Strategic Planning Institute and as a marketing director for Appex Corporation and EDS Personal Communications. More recently she has been an active force behind volunteer projects including being the lead community liaison for the fundraising, design and construction of Ward Springs Park and co-chairing the John Hay School auction.

Marie-Claire and her husband Izi along with thespian daughter Moriel and comedian son Rudi live in Seattle.
